North American Safe Boating Week May 20-27
Spring is in full swing and the opening of boating season is right around the corner. Boaters are checking out their equipment and making plans for a summer of fun, friends and adventure on the water. North American Safe Boating Week begins next week to remind everyone to prepare carefully and to review safety precautions and equipment checklists. The most important safety measure is to ensure that everyone on board a boat has a lifejacket that fits comfortably, so that it can be worn at all times. This is absolutely vital in small boats and particularly now when the water is still shockingly cold.
